What is this program about?
Small-Sided Football (SSF) provides an enjoyable participation experience for young people of all abilities with a major focus on skill development through freedom of expression, minimal coaching, and limited emphasis on the scoreboard.
Does this program replace the Sub-Junior competition?
Correct! The program is now called SSF under 10s and encompasses both age groups under the same program.

How old can I be to participate?
This program is not competition based (no points or ladders) so generally there is no restriction on age but players that are either 9 years old or 10 years old on January 1, 2009 are eligible to participate in this program.
What are your fees?
Our club is purely run by volunteers and therefore we strive to keep our fees as low as possible. The fee for the 2009 season is $190.00
What do I get for my $190?
The fee contributes to the following club responsibilities:
- Match day uniform.
- Playing shirt (property of club)
- Playing shorts in club colours (yours to keep)
- Playing socks in club colours (yours to keep)
- Use of training equipment (balls, bibs and cones)
- Council fees for ground and clubroom leases.
- Running costs for floodlights when training.
- End of season yearbooks and trophies.
Is there a discount for a second child?
Yes, we offer a sibling rate which is $180 for the 2009 season provided that one of the children is paying the full rate (The sibling rate is calculated on the lowest payable fee only)
When does the season start?
The season kicks off on Saturday, 25thApril 2009 and concludes Saturday, 5th September 2009.
Which day and time are the matches played?
All SSF U10 matches are played on a Saturday. The kickoff times are yet to be determined but would be A.M.
Where is the home matches played?
We have two grounds where our matches are played.
1. Larpent Reserve, Hammence Street, Glen Waverley (Melways 62-D12)
2. Glen Waverley North Reserve, Madeline Street, Glen Waverley (Melways 62-B11).
How about away games?
All of our matches are scheduled against teams in the South East Melbourne metropolitan area.
When is training?
Training days are usually flexible and depend on the individual coach for the team. Most teams would train once a week only.
What do I need to bring every week?
It’s compulsory for each player to have their own football style boots and shin guards, along with any liquid refreshments.

We are always appreciative and encourage all our parents to assist where possible. Please consult with our SSF program director to register your interest in assisting.
