How old can I be to participate?
This program is not competition based so generally there is no restriction on age.   We would discourage any child under the age of 5 participating in SSF however.

What are your fees?
Our club is purely run by volunteers and therefore we strive to keep our fees as low as possible. The fee for the 2011 season is $130.00

What do I get for my $130?
The fee contributes to the following club responsibilities:

  • State governing body (Football Federation of Victoria) registration and insurance fees.
  • Playing/training shirt in club colours and relevant program logo.
  • Use of training equipment (balls, bibs and cones)
  • Council fees for ground and clubroom leases.
  • End of season trophy.

Is there a discount for a second child?
No.

When does the program start?
The date has yet to be scheduled but sometime towards the beginning of May 2011. The program will be held every Saturday morning.

Is there any training outside the program?
Training might be held midweek for under 7 players only.

What are Gala Days?
There are predefined weekends where our players have the opportunity to show their skills, in a SSF game situation, against another opposition club from the area.

What do I need to bring every week?
It’s compulsory for each player to have their own football boots and shin guards, a drink bottle is also essential.

Where can I find out more information on the Small-Sided Football Program?
Please visit the FFV website via the following web link: http://www.footballfedvic.com.au/development/ssg/

Can my parents help in the program?
This program requires game leaders to oversee games and skills training. Please consult with our SSF program director to register your interest.

We are always looking for parents to assist our committee too in the running of our club. Please let us know if you wish to help out in that area also.

Great, I would like to join so what do I need to do next?
