Away Game-Bulleen Vs Blue Bullets 8-4
Yes, we had our first game on the artificial turf at Bulleen this week and the ball did not bounce in our favour.Line markings on the ground were decieving,(no box markings at all) and after a slow start, the Bulleen attackers got the edge on us with a couple of quick goals and then play settled with Liam McGrath finding the back of the net for two goals, giving them a half time lead 4-2.Jake R and Liam McGrath tried hard to penetrate the goalkeeper, but he was good.Kris defended really well in our Goal and defenders Breanna, Usinda, Paul and Sinead, Matthew giving a consolidated effort. The second half saw a standout goal from Paul Wagner from almost half way and Liam Jones kicked a splendid goal from persistence against the goalie.Unfortunately the defence got hammered in the second half, with goal kicks being attacked upon quickly where the Bulleen forwards scored another 4 goals.First aid Man P Razga went through a few bandaids to cover up scratches on the players hands and arms.
Final score 8-4.
